GPCR是极具潜力的药物作用靶点
GPCR即G蛋白偶联受体,是哺乳动物基因组中最大的一类膜蛋白家族。人类基因组中的GPCR蛋白家族共有800多名成员,广泛分布于中枢神经系统、免疫系统、心血管、视网膜等组织器官中,参与调控众多不同的生物学功能。作为跨膜蛋白,GPCR具有七个跨膜(7TM)结构域,因此也称为七跨膜受体(7TMR)。且其肽链的C端和连接第5,6个跨膜螺旋的胞内环上有G蛋白(鸟苷酸结合蛋白)的结合位点。GPCR在受胞外信号分子的刺激后,通过与胞内G蛋白的结合,介导信号传导,在细胞增殖,生长和迁移等生理活动中发挥关键作用。
GPCR分布广泛,功能复杂,与多种疾病的发生和进展过程有关,是极具潜力的药物作用靶点。

Horst Vogel(霍斯特 梵格)的荣誉
Horst Vogel教授,瑞士籍,是新恒利达资本投资的种子轮项目深圳阿尔法分子科技有限责任公司的创始科学家,也是深圳先进院医药所计算机辅助药物设计研究中心首席科学家(全职)。2004年入选瑞士科学院院士、2014年入选美国发明科学院院士、同年获得洛桑瑞士联邦理工学院(EPFL,全球QS排名14)终身成就荣誉教授。

Horst Vogel 院士主要从事于以膜蛋白结构与功能研究为代表的生物前沿技术创新,致力于创新药的研发。作为最重要的药物靶点之一,目前约有60%的药物是作用于膜蛋白。针对膜蛋白药物研发中的难点和关键瓶颈,Vogel 院士发明了一系列全球首创的生物芯片技术,系统性地解决了药物研发中的核心问题,其中多项前沿专利技术向国际大型制药公司提供授权。
